New Features 4 Feb 2022 - Image resizing and more

I’ve been working hard to get new features rolled as per my product road map but to be honest, I’m a bit behind on my goals.   To let you all know a bit about me, I have a full-time job, so I have been working nights and weekends to make progress with Pin Generator. I hope one day to make this my full-time job so If you like the tool, please tell your friends! That way I’ll be able to bring you the features that you want at a  faster rate.  Seriously, if you love the tool, a share on social media will make all the difference.  New Features  With that being said, I have made some progress…  Move and resize your images  You now have complete freedom to move and resize your images. This was a hot point for many Etsy store owners.

Simply click on the image and then you can drag it and resize in any direction using the handles in the corners and on the sides of the image.  

You can also set the background color of the space where the image goes: 

Better web scraping 

I have improved the scraping tool on the back end so that more sites can be scraped. If you are having trouble scraping your site, please email the link of the URL you are trying to generate pins from to [email protected] and I’ll look into it. 

 Some websites that have a ReCaptcha make it difficult for me to fetch their info and images. 

Image detecting in <article> tags

There is now an option that allows you to only fetch images within the <article> tags of your webpage you are generating pins for.  

Most blogs and e-commerce websites have all of the main content inside <article> tags. Having this checked in the Pin Generator settings will instruct the tool to only fetch the images inside these tags.   

This will help you avoid images that are in the web page’s sidebar and header etc.

WordPress plugin
The WordPress plugin has been accepted for the WordPress app store. It will be going up there soon. I plan on selling a WordPress-only subscription for people that would only like the WordPress features.  If you have an active subscription or Lifetime subscription with Pin Generator, then it will be included in your subscription for free.  

Note on Lifetime Subscriptions
 Just to give all my early users the heads up, I’m going to be ending the Lifetime subscription offer at some point. It was initially a Black Friday deal that I just kept running but it is coming to the end of its race.  

The current version will be available for the next two weeks at least, so take advantage while you can as a new pricing structure will replace that. Check current prices

Bug Fixes  Some other issues that have been fixed… – Forward slashes in pin titles causing an error in the image file name – Color picker positions going crazy
