Special characters not recognized in CSV upload
Are you having issues with special characters not appearing correctly when creating pins via CSV?
You need to take an extra step when uploading a CSV file containing special characters like ä, ü, etc. Everything looks fine in the CSV and text files, but they may appear as question marks in the system.
The encoding you want is UTF-8, and here is how to save your file this way:
- Select "Save As" > "Browse"
- This will open the "Save As" dialog box
- Choose "CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv)" as the file type
- Click on "Web Options" in the Tools dropdown menu
- On the "Encoding" tab, select the "UTF-8" option
- Click "OK" and save the file
